Welcome to The Bell Surgery surgery

Our Statement of Purpose is

"We aim to offer the highest standard of General Practice in all services and will continue to expand and develop the range of services and clinics we provide".

The Bell Surgery started in Bell Street in 1909. It has been in purpose-built premises with easy access for our disabled patients since 1992.

This website allows us to update and inform both existing and new patients about The Bell Surgery’s details and improvements as soon as they occur. We hope that you find it useful.

Please do not hesitate to ask a member of our team if you have any queries.

The Bell Surgery is fortunate to be situated next door to Townlands Community Hospital with the many facilities it provides, including a Minor Injuries Unit. Consultants from both Reading and Oxford, representing most specialities, hold regular outpatient clinics at the hospital. An Out of Hours centre run by a doctor, specialist nurse and paramedic is also based there.

We are continuously looking for ways to improve our service and therefore we often review the way we offer appointments to you. Following feedback from our patients we have made some small adjustments to the way appointments are now booked. If you have any feedback or suggestions for further improvements please let us know.

Unable to attend your appointment?

Due to the high demand we have for appointments, please let us know if you are unable to keep an appointment on(01491) 843250.

Time Keeping

The clinicians make every effort to keep to time and apologise for those occasions when patients are kept waiting.

In order to assist us and in the interests of other patients we ask that you arrive on time for your appointment and if you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to rebook.

Thank you.
