Dr Chris N M Langley (m)
MBBS DRCOG MRCGPSenior Partner
Dr Chris Langley qualified at St Thomas’s Hospital London in 1992 and completed his general practitioner training at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
He joined the practice in 1998 as a full-time partner. His particular areas of clinical interest are diabetes, men’s health and skin conditions. He actively represents the practice at the South East Oxfordshire locality commissioning meetings.
He has been the Senior Partner at the Bell Surgery since 2014.
He enjoys living locally with his wife and six children.
Dr Peter Reynolds (m)
MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCGPPartner
Dr Reynolds qualified at Imperial College London in 2011 and completed his GP training in the Oxford deanery area. He joined the practice as a full-time Partner in 2016.
His clinical interests include dermatology, ENT, respiratory medicine and joint injections. He is also responsible for a local care home.
Outside of work he enjoys quality time with his wife and three children, weight training in his garage gym, and is heavily involved in his church.
Dr Sarah Waterman (f)
BSc (Hons) MBBS DRCOG DFFP MRCGPPartner
Dr Sarah Waterman qualified at Imperial College in 2001. She moved to Oxfordshire in 2006 having completed her GP training and worked as a GP in Abingdon for 10 years.
She joined the practice as a part-time GP in 2016 and her particular interests include womens’ health, paediatrics and safeguarding.
She enjoys exploring the local countryside with her husband, two young daughters and Border Terrier and has been known to go for a run if the weather is good.
Dr Liam Murphy (m)
BM, MmedSci, PGCert, MRCS, MRCGP
Dr Murphy qualified from the University of Southampton Medical School in 2012, before completing Core Surgical Training in Cornwall. He is passionate about widening access to education and has completed a PGCert at Kings College London, where he then taught Anatomy. He later changed career to General Practice, completing his training in Windsor.
His clinical interests include orthopaedics, musculoskeletal medicine, paediatrics and psychiatry.
Outside of work, he supports Everton Football Club, and represents the Great Britain Medical Football Team. He has been invited to play in the Medical World Cup.
Dr Nicole Doling (f)
BMedSci BMPS MRCP MRCGP DRCOG PGCert Medical & Dental Education.Partner
Dr Doling qualified at Nottingham University in 2002 and after hospital medicine and GP training in South London she moved to Oxfordshire in 2009 where she worked as a GP in Wheatley.
She has a special interest in medical education, Women’s Health, Care of the Elderly and is a GP trainer. She oversees CQC and prescribing for the Practice.
Dr Doling lives locally with her husband and children, and enjoys spending time outdoors.
Dr Matt Norman (m)
MB ChB MRCGPPartner
Dr Matt Norman qualified from Manchester Medical School in 2010, and then worked in hospitals across the Oxford Deanery. On moving to Australia in 2012 he worked in a Disabled Veterans Hospital in Queensland, before returning to the UK and to General Practice.
He spent his final GP training year at The Bell Surgery and was delighted to be asked to stay on as a Partner.
His special interests include Men’s Health, Care of the Elderly, and he is a GP Trainer.
When he is not at the surgery, he may be caught listening to the cricket, playing football, or spending time with his wife, son and daughter.
Dr Johanna Layng (f)
BSc (Hons), MBBS, DGM, DRCOG, MRCGPDr Jo Layng qualified from University College, London in 1993. She completed her GP training on the Buckinghamshire scheme. She has worked in a variety of practices in the Bracknell and Slough area and most recently worked as a GP in Beaconsfield for 13 years. She joined The Bell Surgery part-time in 2023. She also works for the ARC primary care network covering Marlow and Beaconsfield, in a role supporting elderly care and training of Physician associates and Paramedics.
Her clinical interests include Elderly care and dementia and diabetes.
She enjoys open water swimming and walking.
She lives locally with her husband and two children.
Dr Hannah Gallen (f)
BSc (Hons)Dr Gallen qualified from the University of Manchester Medical School in 2016. She completed her foundation training at oxford university hospitals before commencing her General Practice training which she completed in Reading,
She enjoys the variety of general practice and is particularly interested in women’s health and paediatrics.
Outside of work, she enjoys being active with playing netball and running.
