Appointments
If you have a health concern and do not have an appointment please contact the surgery by calling 01491 843250 or get help online using eConsult. eConsult will allow you to get help or advice from your GP online. You will receive a response by the end of the next working day.
Please call us if you have an appointment but would like to change it. If booking a routine appointment patients can request either a face-to-face or a telephone appointment.
If you need a home visit, please click here.
For urgent appointments:
Our Reception team will add you to your GP’s call list (on the same day if urgent). They will add brief details of your symptoms (these will help the GP deal with your situation). They will then tell you when to expect a call back from your GP.
The doctor will call you back and do all they can to help you over the phone or via a video consultation. However, if they feel you need to see someone face-to-face, safe arrangements for you to come into the surgery will be made.
Appointment times:
- Currently routine telephone appointments are available with a GP on weekdays between 0800 – 12.00 in the morning and 1500 – 1800 in the afternoon. Please let the reception team know if you have a preferred time of day.
- Routine nurse and blood test appointments are available between 0800 and 1700 (time is dependent on the procedure required) Monday to Friday.
- For more urgent medical problems please ring the surgery anytime during our opening hours (0800 – 1830) and a GP will ring you back the same day.
- We can also offer telephone or video conference appointments – one to two evenings a week from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
If you have a medical problem outside of these hours and you need to speak to someone please ring 111. The NHS 111 service offers advice and out of hours appointments with a variety of medical professionals, including GPs and Nurses. The 111 service is free to phone and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
When visiting the surgery:
The legal need to wear a face covering no longer applies. However, if you have symptoms of a respiratory infection then we ask that you continue to wear a mask. If you do not have a mask please ask at Reception.
- Where possible please use your own toilet at home before coming to the surgery. This limits the number of patients using the surgery toilets.
- Use the hand sanitiser provided and wash your hands when you return home.
All Clinicians will be wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) including surgical masks to protect you and themselves.
You can visit NHS online and use the 111 online coronavirus service to get support and advice. Only phone 111 if you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home or they are getting worse, or you do not have internet access. 111 will direct you to the most appropriate service.
The most important thing you can do to stay safe, protect your family and protect your NHS doctors and nurses is to follow Public Health advice to stay at home and keep your distance from other people.

Video Consultations
The GPs and Practice Nurses have been working hard to find alternative safe ways to consult with patients given the COVID-19 situation. Check out the video below to see how we can use video consultations:
